Italian-argentinian violinist Mjlla Franetovich was born in Riva del Garda in August 2003 and began studying the violin at the age of 8 with Maestro Piercarlo Torri.
She attended music schools and obtained the 'ABRSM' diplomas early and with top marks for the Royal Academy of Music in London.
In 2017 she began attending the 'F. A. Bonporti' of Trento and Riva del Garda and obtained her bacherlor degree in 2022 with 110, honors and honorable mention under the guidance of Prof. Cristina Giovannini. She currently studies with Maestro Cristiano Rossi at the R. Romanini Foundation in Brescia and with Maestro Piercarlo Torri.
She also participated in numerous masterclasses held by the masters Cristiano Rossi, Ilya Grubert, Dora Bratchkova, Josè Gallardo, Marco Rizzi, Christine Blumenstein, Emile Cantor, Valentina Fornari, Kathrin Ten Hagen, Marco Mandolini, Massimiliano Motterle, dedicating herself to the technical and interpretative study of various repertoire, from the baroque to the contemporary one in the solo and chamber music fields.
She was the winner of prestigious prizes in national and international competitions: first prize at the "Città di Vimodrone" international violin competition, first prize and special "Dante Vannini" prize at the "Città di Bardolino" competition, first prize at the "International Esperia Competition" , second prize at the "Vienna international Music Award", “Città di Sarzana”, “Danubia Talents”, first overall prize at the “Premio Harmonika” competition.
Furthermore, in January 2022, she was awarded at the "Crescendo International Music Competition" in Padua, having the opportunity to debut at the prestigious Carnegie Hall in New York and recently, she performed as a soloist accompanied by the "Città di Arco” interpreting the Four Seasons by A. Vivaldi.
She is regularly called to perform for important concert associations: at the Trento Philharmonic for the "Invito all'ascolto" season, for "Musica a Palazzo", for "I concerts dell'Amadeus", for the "Benacus Chamber Orchestra" association , for “Festival of the small Dolomites”, for “Associazione Mozart Italia”, for the festival of nations "Concerti del Tempietto" in Rome, for "Ensemble Serenissima", for "Monferrato Music Festival" for “Musica Riva Festival” and “Amici della Musica” in Riva del Garda.
